5th Grade Midterm Exam Test Scope – Spring, 2026

Dear Parents,

The Midterm Exams are upon us.

Below is the exam schedule and test scope.

Please remind your child to go over vocabulary and

reading stories listed in the test scope.

l   Listening Exam: Wednesday, 04/15

 

l   Oral Exam: Thursday, 04/16 and Friday, 04/17

 

l   Written Exam: Tuesday, 04/21

LISTENING & ORAL EXAMS:

l   Vocabulary Focus: Weeks 4 - 8

(Communication Book)

l   Reading Street Stories:

l   The Red Kayak (p. 26 – 41)

l   Thunder Rose (p. 57 – p. 73)

 

l   Listening Skills: Vocabulary words, four kinds of sentences, long vowel vcv, subjects and predicates, story comprehension

 

WRITTEN EXAM:

l   Vocabulary Focus: Week 3 – Week 9

(Communication Book)

l   Reading Street Stories:

l   The Red Kayak (p. 26 – 41)

l   Phonics Focus:
